If you provide us your
arrival information at the international airport in Guadalajara, we
will make arrangements to pick you up and bring you to Ajijic
Suites.
You can also hire an airport taxi
or limousine conveniently located just outside the arrivals gate at
the airport. Airport taxis cost between $25-30 USD one-way. You will
need to purchase a Taxi ticket from the Taxi booth located near the
international arrival gate.
Ajijic Suites is located in the
village of Ajijic, 30 minutes from the Hidalgo International Airport
on the outskirts of Guadalajara.
Driving
Directions:
Follow the signs to Chapala. Once
over the mountain, you will see the amazing view of Lake Chapala.
Watch for an exit to the right for Ajijic. This exit takes you to
the Libramiento (by-pass) to Ajijic. Follow the Libramiento to a
traffic light at the Carretera that runs between Chapala and
Jocotopec. Make a right-hand turn at the traffic light.
Unfortunately the new Wal*Mart Superstore will be right in front of
you!
You will be traveling west toward
Ajijic, passing through La Floresta. On the right-hand (mountain)
side of the carretera you will see an OXXO (a 24-hour convenience
store).
Cross over Colon (a major
intersection with a traffic light). As you go up the hill, you'll
see a restaurant on the left-hand side - El Sarape. Make a left-hand
turn just past there onto Calle Aquiles Serdan. Go down two blocks
toward the lake. The first street is Zaragosa. The second street is
Hidalgo. Make a right-hand turn onto Hidalgo (one way street heading
west).
Ajijic Suites is located at
Hidalgo #72 on the left-hand side of the street - 2 doors down from
the corner. If you have a car, we suggest you park almost as soon as
you turn into Hidalgo on the left hand side, just past the gates to
the big house on the corner.
